Yellowstone is coming to an epic finale with its upcoming final season, but the franchise will continue with a new spin-off.
Michelle Pfeiffer and Kurt Russell were previously rumored to be in talks to star in the new series, and TV Line reports that Patrick J. Adams is in talks to join them.
A representative for Paramount Network declined to comment for the report, but the outlet said Pfeiffer, Russell and Adams' deals are set to be finalized.
Also added some possible plot details for the spin-off. The Yellowstone spin-off once known as 2024 is now titled The Medicine.
It will follow married Stacey Clyburn and her family as they leave New York City for Montana after the tragic deaths of her husband and brother-in-law in a plane crash.
The cast of the series is still being assembled and is said to be joining. Montana is expected to begin production in New York and Texas later this month for a 2025 premiere.
Matthew McConaughey was previously announced to lead the spin-off, but later reports indicated that the actor would not sign a contract until then.
Producers are not looking at Taylor Sheridan's script. It is not known if Russell will play McConaughey or if it will be a new character, TV Line reports।
