A sequel series is set to follow the series finale of Yellowstone in November 2024, but a new dispatch suggests that McConaughey's involvement has not been confirmed.

McConaughey's reluctance is reportedly due to the fact that he has yet to see a script and is still the top choice to lead the project.

Until Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan sends the script. As of today, there is no word on who McConaughey will play.
