Yellowstone fans, be patient. The Matthew Mc Conaughey-directed spin-off is still unconfirmed. Although previous reports claimed
Kevin Costner finally shares his full side of the 'Yellowstone' story
A sequel series will be made shortly after the series finale of Yellowstone in November 2024, but a new dispatch suggests that Mc Conaughey's involvement has not been confirmed.
Mc Conaughey's reluctance is reportedly due to the fact that he hasn't seen a script. According to Pick News' Matthew Bellona, Mc Conaughey is still the top choice to lead the project.
Bellona, however, said producers are close to a deal with Michelle Pfeiffer, who is in talks to play the female lead.
Sheridan was already pitching ideas for the series last June, praising Mc Conaughey as "a natural fit" for his modern Western TV world.
Sheridan explained, "Over the last few years we've had some conversations and discussed some ideas and responded to them. He said, 'I want to do this.'
The series is exploring the future of Yellowstone with a 2024 title, indicating that Paramount will continue its decades-long vision for the franchise.
The network also announced another Yellowstone spin-off, 1944. While both 2024 and 1944 serve as working titles, the Mc Conaughey spinoff could also serve as a limited series.
