Ever since HBO's Game of Thrones ended in 2019, ardent fans have been constantly demanding a remake of the much-loved final season.
With networks showing interest in reboots such as the recent "Harry Potter" remake, the idea of a Season 8 reboot isn't as far-fetched as it once was.
Charles Dance: First to lend support for remake Charles Dance, who played Tywin Lannister, was one of the first cast members to lend his support for the remake of Game of Thrones Season 8.
Dance confirmed in a 2020 interview that he supports a fan petition to remake the final season, Pop Culture magazine reported.
Dance candidly stated, "If there was a petition, I would sign it." Though Dance did not blame those running the show, he expressed disappointment in the end result.
"I know the finale satisfied a lot of people, but it also disappointed a lot of people, and I'm in the latter camp," he said, according to the report.
Dance did not directly criticize creators David Benioff and D. B. Weiss, but praised their work throughout the series.
"David and Dan have raised the bar for television writing. They're amazing."
